From Research to Development - Mutual Learning for Change
The Annual Conference of the KFPE in collaboration with NewMinE of the University of Lugano

The Commission for Research Partnerships with Developing Countries (KFPE) is dedicated to promoting research partnerships with developing and transition countries. In this way, it wishes to contribute to sustainable and effective development and help find solutions to global problems.

KFPE is engaged in Swiss scientific policies and is committed to promoting the interests of researchers and their affiliated institutions on both a national and international level. It furthers innovative and development-oriented research and designs concepts for research strategies. In this context, KFPE ensures that partnership principles are followed, the quality of research is assured, and the interests of all partners are respected. KFPE is a commission of the Swiss Academy of Sciences (SCNAT).

Focus of the Conference:
" Research partnerships with developing and transition countries strive to contribute to sustainable development and to improve the living conditions of the populations in these countries. Implementation of new knowledge and research results into practice or policy or up-scaling of successful research projects therefore lies at the core of such projects and remains a major challenge. "
