European Development Days 2010:
Presentation of the European Report on Development 2010

The European Development Days are a yearly event hosted jointly by the European Commission and the EU Presidency.
Now entering its fifth year, European Development Days has built a reputation for unflinching debate covering a range of pressing issues in global development.

In the context of this year's European Development Days the launch of the European Report on Development 2010 will take place in Brussels on the 7th of December.
From the ERD website:
'The European Report on Development (ERD) is the main outcome of the Mobilizing European Research for Development Policies, an initiative promoted and financed by the European Commission together with seven EU Member States: Germany, Finland, France, Luxembourg, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. The aim of this initiative is to help the European Union refine its vision of development and enrich its policies on the basis of knowledge, innovation, and the building of common ground between the European research community, policymakers, and a broad public.'
