Die KEF setzt sich daher für Forschungspartnerschaften mit
Entwicklungs- und Transitionsländern ein. Das Ungleichgewicht an
Forschungsausgaben weltweit zeigt deutlich den Bedarf an Unterstützung
von Forschungspartnerschaften mit Institutionen in Entwicklungs- und
Transitionsländern. Die KEF hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, die in
Österreich vorhandene wissenschaftliche Kapazität für die nachhaltige
Stärkung von Wissenschaft und Bildung in Entwicklungsländern zu
mobilisieren. Immer mehr österreichische Forscherinnen und Forscher
leisten durch wissenschaftliche Zusammenarbeit über Europas Grenzen
hinaus einen wertvollen Beitrag zur globalen nachhaltigen Entwicklung.
Globale Forschungsfragen wie Klimawandel, Risikoforschung, Pandemien,
oder Migrationsforschung können nicht isoliert vom globalen Kontext
betrachtet werden.
