BRAVEAURORA is looking for an Expert in Development Aid for a stay of at least 1 year in North Ghana.
Responsibilities:

• Acting as a link between and as pro longed arm of BRAVEAURORA and the village of Guabuliga
• Collection of social structure and infrastructure of the village Guabuliga
• Active involvement of villagers in each project development process
• Networking and cooperation with other organizations
• Support the reintegration of the orphans and vulnerable children
• Holding of regular village meetings and interviews
• Discussion of the jointly developed plans for the feasibility with the villagers

The Institute for Security Studies (ISS) seeks to appoint a Deputy Director Research to be based at the ISS head office in Pretoria.
The successful candidate will lead the development, management and oversight of the Institutional ISS Research Strategy and formulate dissemination strategies for all ISS research products. S/he will take the lead in research aspects of new office establishments specifically in West Africa, New York and Brussels. S/he will also serve as the editor of the African Security Review and oversee the ISS Knowledge management function. The Deputy Director Research will be responsible for all aspects of quality management processes of all ISS publications, website and multimedia. S/he will also guide the ISS Research committee; oversee the editorial team that manages the bi-monthly magazine, The African. Org. Für den täglichen Gebrauch schleppen Frauen und Kinder das Wasser aus dem Rio Waspuk oder dessen Nebenflüssen in Eimern zu den Hütten im Dorf, die Wäsche wird ebenfalls im Fluss gewaschen. Das Wasser des Flusses ist zum Trinken ungeeignet und verursacht häufig Durchfallerkrankungen, die nicht zuletzt für die hohe Kindersterblichkeit dieses Gebietes verantwortlich sind.

Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Specialist
