WasserexpertIn für Nicaragua (Horizont 3000)
Die EinwohnerInnen der Dörfer Suni Was, Alal, Kibusna, Paña Was, Saba Was und Betlehem verfügen über keine adäquate Trinkwasserversorgung. Für den täglichen Gebrauch schleppen Frauen und Kinder das Wasser aus dem Rio Waspuk oder dessen Nebenflüssen in Eimern zu den Hütten im Dorf, die Wäsche wird ebenfalls im Fluss gewaschen. Das Wasser des Flusses ist zum Trinken ungeeignet und verursacht häufig Durchfallerkrankungen, die nicht zuletzt für die hohe Kindersterblichkeit dieses Gebietes verantwortlich sind.

Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Specialist
